Eva M. Mahoney

Eva M. Mahoney has been writing since she was in elementary school. She wrote her first story in third grade entitled, “The Rabbit Who Wouldn’t Deliver.” She had three articles published in The Buffalo News while she was still in high school.  Several decades later, Eva writes mostly in the Mainstream genre. She does focus much of her writing on humor. She won an Honorable Mention in the OWFI Literary Competition in 2020 for her humor blog entitled Friendship Application. (Eva does not require potential friends to complete a friendship application.) In her short story here, “No Trip to Oz,” her main character, Yaz, plays a reoccurring role in a series of short stories yet to be published.  Eva lives with her husband, Phil and their weeniepoo, Pepe in Edmond, Oklahoma.
