Carla Guthrie

Carla Guthrie has cultivated her passion for writing since first grade, when her teacher patiently guided her hand to form letters. One of the poems she wrote in third grade was chosen and published by a children’s magazine. In college she won first place in the Soundings Literary Journal contest with her short story The Master’s Hand. After a two-decade hiatus spent raising and teaching her four boys, she is ready to share her stories with the world once again. Hailing from Florence, Italy and longtime resident of Oklahoma she enjoys writing both in Italian and English to evoke emotions and entertain readers with thought provoking tales.
