B.S. Adamsons

B.S. Adamsons started her writing path in third grade, when Mother Francis Xavier pointed to a print on the classroom’s back wall and commanded – “Write a story.”

In the many decades since, writing has taken many different forms. Philosophical thoughts were submitted to a newspaper’s Teen Page with the goal of spreading ideas and earning pocket money as well. College provided opportunities to write skits for her fellow students to perform. Parenthood required the skill of written persuasions for Letters to the Editor or school boards.

Years at a hometown newspaper provided the opportunity for writing advice columns and to promote “Yard of the Week” with creative descriptions of winning gardens.

Over the years, fancy notebooks and loose papers filled drawers, after places visited and people met, till a new life-decade began and Sister Francis Xavier’s words rang out:-

“Write a story”
